Standardised Battery Training is the Future:

Searching for standardised training on industrial batteries will probably leave you frustrated to the point of neglecting this crucial area of you business. Besides the closely guarded in-house training manuals, kept by some battery maintenance and battery supplier companies, chances are you will find none. This lack of skills contribute to huge losses in production time and increased battery en equipment replacement costs annually, while unconsciously harming the environment. The application of the right battery management techniques can turn these statistics around and optimise existing assets while consciously increasing your business’ contribution to a greener environment.

The Batterie Plus training programme will soon be the only nationally accredited skills programme for industrial battery management. A career path in battery management includes the various levels of battery bay operations with competence assessments against the relevant unit standards or parts there off as is required for the specific battery powered industry. Under this programme, students are tested on each module before passing as competent to receive a nationally recognised certificate. The benefit to our clients is the ability to claim back on their skills levies through their relevant SETA.

Our current training modules already cover all aspects of battery bay operations, health and safety requirements as well as practical and administrative duties where applicable. Clients are able to select training modules or parts thereof to compile short courses that suit their specific battery requirements. Where the number of students justify this and if the working environment complies with certain standards, our trainers are able to do on-site training, ensuring direct application of knowledge and skills in the students’ place of work.

As business owners, we understand the importance of optimising assets. In line with our vision, our training is always focussed on skilling people to extend the lifespan of batteries, chargers and lifting equipment.
